How do I cheat?

it was working fine about 5 days ago, but today when I tried to view memory on WWE 2K16, it simply won't show anything. the bytes are all ??
it does the same thing on any game I attach to cheat engine, no idea what the issue is. any help?

Are you sure you attached CE to a game at all?
Do you actually have an address in the Memory Viewer that belongs to the application (so is initalized) ?

yes, I can search values and those show, but nothing will show in the memory viewer
I quickly attached to notepad of all things to show an example of it being broken

That's probably because the shown memory block is not used and therefore not accessible.
Right click on the hex grid and select "Go to address", then type a valid address (like "notepad.exe"+12340) and there you go ...

was still ?? which is strange, I uninstalled my virus scanner (which hasn't been an issue before) and that has the values showing now.
no clue what was with that, especially since I could still edit values, I just couldn't see any in the memory viewer, so dumb.
