Got bored of Blade & Soul because the end game is just an endless grind and the open pvp system is retarded. Started playing Pokémon Revolution Online instead. They took the original regions and maps (though edited) and wrote a new story, which is exactly what I was looking for in a Pokémon game. Only thing that's missing is boss-fights where you have to team up with others to be able to defeat the boss.
Still in beta test so pretty buggy though (server crashes, some moves not working correctly, some items not implemented yet, etc). The game only goes up to the Johto league right now, but Hoenn is soon to come.

all new pokemon games are exactly what you described; same game, but the official games have updated graphics, new areas, and new pokemon/people.

i personally am not a fan of turn based fighting games. so pokemon games and a lot of potentially good rpg games become meh tier in my book.
