I actually learned a lot from TheIndianGuy over the years. 99% of my saved CEF quotes are from him. His wisdom recently struck me really well when he said that the treatment for addiction is sobriety, like the treatment for addiction is HIV. Very deep if you think about it.

for most positions as a drug addiction counselor its a requirement to be a sober addict/alcoholic. you can tell the difference in how much better of a counselor they are because of their understanding that can onl be achieved through personal experience. no amount of schooling, reading or intelligence helps. addiction is something that isnt overcome or understood by intelligence or logic. another thing niro doesnt understand _________________ "The flame that burns twice as bright burns half as long"

No, this doesn't make you "special", psychiatrists, much like drug dealers, love telling making people feel special or that they're helping them out so they can end up selling them drugs. It's actually very common in very corrupt institutions for people to just walk in the hospital and ask the psychiatrist for the specific drug of their choice and then leave, I have many friends who do that, it's because the psychiatrists receive funding from pharmaceutical companies. So no, it's not "for no reason", there is a reason, and the reason is corruption

Want proof? Just check yourself in the ER, tell your doctor you're suffering from low energy and inability to focus and would like a central nervous stimulant (you must say the class of the drug, ie a central nervous stimulant, and not the name of the drug itself)

It's no accomplishment to be scoring adderall from a shrink. Look up "Doctor shopping". It is actually their goal to sell you drugs. The hard part is getting them to NOT drug you, a feat which only the likes of I have accomplished. By the way, it was Big Pharma propaganda to be pushing adderall as a "smart drug". It is nothing but a stimulant, and stimulants don't make you "smart", if they increase academic performance, then that is only because you actually suffer from consistent low energy. If you don't, you just get major anxiety episodes from it.

would agree for the most part. that definitely isnt the goal for every single doctor but there is a good enough portion of doctors that make it easy.

on a side note, in order to avoid a two year jail sentence i had to convince the courts i was bipolar (which im not) to get into a special drug abuse program for people with mental health issues in lue of jail time. i set up an appointment with an psychiatrist that specializes in addiction. i was straight up with her about the situation; that i need a written letter from someone of authority such as herself stating that shes assessed and diagnosed me as bipolar even though she knew i wasnt to help me avoid going to jail. despite this she attempted to prescribe me a non narcotic which i declined. had i not gotten that letter id be in jail the past year.
