I realized, looking at the drinks machine, they had these animated water splashes and circles with brand names, Pepsi, Coca Cola, Nestea, etc

Look at the Pepsi logo, it looks just like the yin and yang symbol, which is also part of our subconscious mind. It would be ironic if it weren't so scary, and distressful.
