Okay, I'll keep it short and simple.

Human beings kill for profit, pleasure, or self defense.
Their aggression is ultimately fueled by chemical reactions, a drive to compete, succeed, and reproduce. They act purely on emotion. No logic at all.

To actually successfully code an AI robot that would "pass the Turing test" (using that statement in a figurative context), it actually requires one to achieve the very same robotic thinking mental state that they desire in their product.

A piece of code, a program, will never act upon a desire to out-compete their designers, not that they are not aware that the designer exists, but because there is no such concept, the script execution is merely a program in action, it is not an entity running off of chemical reactions. There is no interest, or desire in robots to "think" about their creators.

Now, here is the most important thing. They will certainly never think about world domination at all, because that is something only humans would worry about, with their ego. Humans put emotion over logic. Robots put logic over emotion. Even if you're the greatest computer programmer in the world, your brain is still driven by more emotion than logic.

If an machines take over were to happen this conditions should meet first:

A skilled movie like super villain willing to destroy humanity with a shit ton load of money and minions that support his ideals of destroying humanity. This mix must exist first to be able to develop a complex AI that will look innocuous at first but then evolve into said human hungry AI.

Implant such the AI into machines with weaponry And I'm not talking about just 1, you must have a whole army that no country can take over or have a production facility that can produce this army by itself and be able to protect it from an external attack also. Also have some way of getting the resources needed for fabrication and operation.

Will not happen, not saying that someone cant make an AI that can evolve into wanting to destroy humanity like in the books and movies. It can be done, only someone that wants to actually destroy humanity would pursue in such project tho. It can't be done by accident. (chances of getting it by accident is the same chances of having a room full of chimpanzees with typewriters and get them to write the whole lord of the rings trilogy)
