According to Russians, gays and transgendered people are not even allowed to drive cars. That's real oppression not found in the states.

i'm pretty sure that homosexuals in russia are allowed to practise buttfuckery in private, but the gay propaganda law 'just' bans them being public about it (eg protesting for equal rights) - that's not really the same, though
