Cheat Engine

Hello!!!!!

We'll, I'm really new to Cheat Engine, and I don't understand the jargon used for it, but I don't want to use it for creating complex trainers.

I understand (more or less) the "Exact Value" mode for cheating. For example, I can have lots of money changing the values. It seems I can do the same with the ammo. For example, I start with 8 bullets. Then, I shoot 2 bullets, now I have 6. I find in the Cheat Engine the values I need to change, I turn them to 99999. Then, in the game, the ammo appears as 99999 but, when I reload, it goes back to 4 bullets. How can I have 99999 bullets forever?

Now, I don't have any skill points, but I hope those work as the money.

With unlimited money, ammo and skill points, I would be happy. Also, I'm using a "non-legit" version of the game, so I can't find a working trainer for me to make things easier.

The problem is that there is a value in your current weapon data structure, that indicates which amount of bullets you get, after you reloaded your gun. This is the reason why your ammo gets changed.

You can try to a) NOP the Opcode that decreases your ammo => Right click the address, that contains your ammo, click on "Find out what writes to this address", go back to game and shoot once, then select the entry in the CE window that popped up when you clicked on the said function and click on "Show disassembler". There, the selected opcode, you NOP with right click->Replace with code that does nothing. Then you should have unlimit ammo in your clip.
B) would be to dissect your current weapon data structure and look for the value that is responsible for your reloading value. You can find some youtube tutorials on how to dissect data structures with Cheat Engine.

I tried following your instructions, but there's a problem. Using the a) method, that seems easier, when I try to "Find out what writes to this address", the game closes and then, there's nothing I can do.

If anyone knows of a trainer that works with "non-legit" versions in update 1.3, it would also work.

Unfortunately, th bypass doesn´t work for my version of the game.

But I found a trainer that does work, so the problem is solved
