i wanna get a pet but idk what to get

needs to be chill as fuck and low maintenance. and inexpensive. and not fish because they don't do anything, even though my goldfish when i was like 9 was pretty chill and i named him after a video game character

yea i was honestly thinking a cat just becus free if you adopt. are they quiet most of the time, i have like 0 experience with cats, guessing it depends on the cat

bird seems cool dude, dont think ill be spending $150 on a pet, i need like 20 other things first.

Yeah, if you have a backyard there's really no need for a litter box once they're old enough (and they grow up fast). The one-time vaccinations really aren't that expensive, and they're actually not that necessary either if your cat doesn't go out much. If your cat doesn't go out you don't need to worry about fleas either, and definitely not about ticks. My cats go out all the time and I've had more ticks myself than all of them combined (which is one). Flea poison can be used preventive (once every 3 months) or you can just wait until you notice your cat has fleas and apply it (like once every 6 to 12 months). If your cat goes out you won't need to trim its claws either. Most cats won't scratch stuff inside if they have trees to scratch outside.

tl;dr, only get a cat if you have a backyard or if it can go out, and get a female one as they don't go out as much as males.

we have like wild cats in our neighborhood and they shit in our side yard and shit. our backyard is wide open basically, the wind knocked down our fence once so i dont think id be safe letting it outside. also we dont have any trees and our yard has these like prickly things called sand spurs thatd probs fuck a cat up

i could put the litter box in the bathroom, thatd b no problem, and it already smells there.

you know what this sounds like too much work, fuck this shit. im lazy, my cat would probably die or something if i got one
