You're missing the point. Also I'm pretty sure you get welfare in Denmark if you're jobless. And you can always go to school for free.

only mexicans are working fast food their whole life and see that as an option. it is perfect for someone of that age and makes great sense. most people work some minimum wage job while young while going to college before finding their career.
always wondered about how fast food isn't done by machines yet.

Im not missing the point, im going to the root of the problem. if shitty jobs that are of 0 value can make you enough money to survive, then something is wrong. you need bad jobs and low minimum wage to make people want to move up in the world

That's total bullshit and you know it.
Any job should make you enough money to survive. If the only reason you want a certain job is the money, then you're thinking wrong. People should strive for jobs they enjoy doing, not jobs that pay well.
I'd take flipping burgers over any well paying desk job anytime. Not saying flipping burgers is my dreamjob but its a hell of a lot better than sitting behind a desk all day to me.

In Europe, generally, you get paid according to your age. So if you're student age, you'll get paid a shit wage (when I was younger (16) I worked at the supermarket for six euros an hour).

This is painfully broken logic. So, as a manager you are choosing not to pay your people well because you're wanting to motivate them, not because you're trying to save staff and labor costs? The veteran or grandparent that works part-time at some low-paying job is somehow "lower in the world" than the retiree?

Yes. One assumption I believe why old people are suddenly taking over low end jobs is because Social Security (and older people passing their life expectancy), people storing money in the bank (not that it's bad but let me explain), and inflation (there we go). Since around 1913 till present day, America has lost 95% of its value on the U.S dollar. So $10,000 back then is only worth $500 now. That's basically their retirement money.

| 21$ per hour in Denjoe. 0.5 l of beer cost 10$. Person there probably spends more on bills than in US or Croatia. It is basically same shit with bigger numbers. At least that's how I see it, and a lot of people working outside says same.
