| I haven't really lied but I did complain about every little thing for two years until they finally fixed everything and upgraded me to 50mb/s for $16/month.

| anyone ever think of putting a resistor on the cabel between the modem and the outside source? theoretically it should work and show a decrease in conectivity

They only deal from the exchange to the local cabinet to the building. Anything beyond the building isn't their issue.
Like, they would recommend you either get your house rewired (lol gtfo with that) or replace your modem.
Though -- Some of the guys at some ISPs are actually pretty nice. Hit them up about bumping up your speed and they might be a bro.
