I had a teacher like that. She also teaches communications but data communications (IT classes), She is often wrong and doesn't admit she is wrong, but overall she is not a bad teacher, just a little outdated. Often gets criticized by the alumni and once we let her know what we thought about her she started changing for good. (I still want to avoid taking classes with her at all cost though)

My advice is start with her, I'm sure many of your classmates feel the same. Just make a note and get many classmates to sign it.

I've had a load of shitty teachers.
In philosophy once I got a D for my final grade and the teacher said I had 40% attendance.
I was like wtf I sat in front every class and actively participated in every debate, I just often was a few minutes late and missed role (first thing he does).
He said he remembered me contributing a lot, but then took it back and said the role sheet doesn't lie.
I submitted a petition to have it changed but my counselor said just retake the course because it's quicker and replaces the old grade on my transcript, so I did.

Another biology teacher gave me a D for not turning in any museum labs (you walk through this room with skeletons and preserved animal displays and stuff and then anwer questions about them on a sheet and drop them in a lockbox, it's unattended and on your own time).
I said fuck that, I made copies of all my work and have them here, he said to contact his assistant who collects the lockbox and find out why it's missing, assistant never calls me back.
Pretty much my school would rather spend its funds on fancy new buildings than a competent faculty.

for the first thing it sounds like you should have let the teacher know you were there after class to let him put you own on the role, gay that he remembered you but then took it back because of the role sheet

other thing sucks bruh, i dont think ive ever had a teacher straight up lose some shit, that would be the worse, the only time i get bad grades is when i just straight up say 'i aint doin this', i don't like to half ass shit like some people, im either getting an A and doing everything or the absolute bare minimum just to pass, no point in getting a B

for this communications class it just seems like the teacher will be shit, and i already missed the first quiz because i didnt know the pop quizzes would be online (which is fuckin dumb, just let me take the 10 min quiz in class), and im not good at speeches either, no fear of public speaking, just not good at coherently structuring my thoughts out loud, im much better at writing shit (if it has to be long form like a speech)

in my psychology class, its a 10 question quiz every class that you can use your notes on, so ez as fuck, art appreciation you can use your notes and since its art shit it will be ez as fuck, and sociology is another teacher i dislike but shes fair at least and lets us know when there is online assignments and what important notes to write. my communications teacher just rambles and talks shit all class basically paraphrasing the book, which we would have to go and read any way because she doesn't cover everything because she's too busy arguing with other retards in the class, fun to watch though, so even if i end up not passing somehow it'll be funny
