Five years ago I told my teacher in class that in the future we'd all have phones with big touchscreens and that we'd read our newspapers on those instead of on paper, and she was like 'You really believe that?'.

can people fuck off about how we all need more bandwidth for 4k, I hope they understand HEVC is twice as efficient as h.264 and 4k isn't a problem. laying fiber down and having our home networks upgraded is more important right now than wireless.

but none of that is the companies fault so cool we'll have fast shit on our phones.

Well it's not like you were a visionary, considering five years ago we already had phones with big screens, and tablets since the stone ages. I think a lot of the younger folks saw this coming, or at least wanted this, and the manufacturers simply complied with the demand. Bit of a self-fulfilling prophecy.
