Is it possible to install Ubuntu on external hard drive and keep windows 7 untouched, so when i unplug external hard drive to grub isn't my default boot loader? I want to install Ubuntu on external hard drive and use it on another PC. Also when I plug it in another PC and unplug it will i on start up every time see boot loader?

1. Install it to external
2. Go into bios and change boot order priority so that the external is 1 and the local C drive is 2
It will boot from the external when present and the C drive when not.
never mind i solved it. I unplugged internal hard drive and connected external hard drive, because i didn't wanted to make grub my default boot loader and simply installed it.
