most champs snowball hard if fed

twitch isn't picked because his early game is shitty
also no real escapes like corki / ez / others
he's very team reliant and his aggressive play isn't as good as others'
basically he's like an evelynn-adc; he's about ambush and subtlety and finding the right moment to attack, usually when a fight has already started.

Since the range buff he's able to lane and having stealth automatically gives him an advantage in 1v1s, you can pop up behind a carry every time you go back to lane and if they're alone you'll win because Ambush attack speed buff is lulzy.

There's a few nuances to playing Twitch. For example, he's the carry I tend to die the least on because death is literally not an option and it's a lot more likely than most other carries, meaning that you NEED to sit back or be a godlike calculator in your trades/skirmishes.

Honestly though, Expunge and the passive is just so powerful in lane trades, you just need a support to sit on your face during laning phase to keep you alive from enemy engagement during certain levels where he isn't optimally strong. (Levels 1 - 3, 6 and 9 are his stronger points, anything in between and the enemy carry will probably have some kind of trade equality in their skillset or damage scaling. You don't want equality in trades with Twitch, you need to be punishing them every time harder than they are punishing you.)

He's always been fun to me, it's just a shame I can't roll around in stealth for 50 seconds like before.

Seriously, every game, no matter how bad my team does, I destroy my lane and if they're good at peeling, I dominate every TF. I guess it's not high ELO so there's not many smart people, but still. :\

Twitch has always been a strong carry, a lot of people just don't want to endure his playstyle of get caught = instadead (unlike other more conventional carries who have escapes making them safer).

I've never cared about that (except soloqueue - lol ezreal, so broken in soloq, having a blink on like 7 second cooldown is fucking hilarious), if you're playing carry you shouldn't be getting hit by anything anyway until the final stages of the fight.
