Something's wrong with my os it's win xp 32-bit
every time i do something it happens twice from single clicks becoming double clicks to installation and unistalls running twice and windows just keeps telling me i should close the other window but it doesn't even show up but when i check the processes tab on the task manager there aren't always duplicates my biggest problem is that i can't install any games or update my ati drivers anymore since it always says something like "Error 1500.Another installation is in progress. You must complete that installation before continuing this one." It's been like this for a week or two but i haven't installed or uninstalled anything before today so it wasn't a problem for me
before
Any ideas what's going on?

I'm with +Paulo and Hero on this. Start simple and work your way up.
1. Uninstall / reinstall any and all mouse software or drivers you may have loaded.
2. If that doesn't help, Go into Mouse settings in Control Panel and restore the defaults.
3. Is this an external mouse on a laptop? If so, try a known good external mouse and see if the issue continues. If its a desktop, same process. If its the touchpad on the laptop, plug in an external mouse and see if symptoms persist. If no external mouse available, reinstall the synaptics (common touchpad drivers among laptops) drivers.
4. Run a malware/virus scan.
Let me know if this helps or not and we will continue on. I've been doing this sort of thing for 16+ years now.
