I love its form factor, and I'm willing to spend the extra dosh to get it. It's either that, a Samsung Series 7 Gamer, or a custom from xoticpc or ibuypower.
Recommendations anyone? Under 2.3k please. And as much as a Falcon looks fucking awesome, I can't get one lol.

I want the Razer Blade too. If you want to play something like Crysis on maximum settings and get a steady 30-60fps+ though it's not a good choice.

I'm not really getting it for hardcore gaming. I just love the form factor, the power is enough to run me some emulators, the layout would be great for dota. I'm not, not getting it to be a gaming laptop, but gaming isn't paramount. It's just time I get a nice laptop to last me through graduate school that I'll love.

What's the warranty on it? I have a mouse by Razer and it died within 8 months and they wouldn't even exchange it.

Hmm, I also have the option of getting an Asus G74SX-A1 for $900 from a friend in my compsci group.

I'm aware. I just want a new laptop that has power if I decide to do some light gaming. My current laptop is shitting itself more and more each day, and I'm never owned a laptop that costs over 300 bucks, so I've decided to get myself something nice if I have the money for it.
My main ones I'm looking at are a Samsung Series 7 Gamer and the New Razer Blade. If the money isn't there for em by around the middle of February, I'll either opt for a cheaper custom 15inch or my friend's Asus.
EDIT: Also looking at an MSI GT70

Don't bother with the Blade, at least for now. I don't think it's as refined as it could be for the price it is currently and you'd be better going with just a good laptop. Dota2 doesn't need a huge amount of power really

You took what I said the wrong way, I'm not getting a laptop to play dota, but I may want to play dota on my laptop. The reason I want the blade is its form factor above anything else while still maintaining a good amount of power.

What's it's competition? I don't fully think it's worth it either, but I think I would pay the premium to have it. I've narrowed down my alternative to this:
