No not really.
1. I haven't played TF2 in months.
2. I doubt I could improve as a sniper at all, some people just have their levels that they stay at.
3. Any other class is easy as fuck and relies more on team strategy than individual skill to win. I've never been part of any sort of organized team and I probably never will (besides pro dodgeball, which is way different).
edit: 4. Even if I asked for help I wouldn't get it.

I've played probably 500 hours of sniper and I wouldn't survive 5 minutes against AA.
That's not going to change after 1000 hours, or 3000.
