Lol, that shit sucks.
Had it on a VMWare for about 15 minutes before I ragequitted.
One thing that was nice was being able to position crap, like having your desktop on the right, and some app on the left
What I don't get is why the fuck does it have to take 2/3 of the screen? Like I want 1/2 of it to be an app, and 1/2 to be my desktop, not fucking 1/3 and 2/3

I was starting to hate the metro apps not being compatible with non metro apps but now that you can do this it is nice :3

you cant do half and half because the app is not designed to.
it depends if the metro app was designed with context aware design or not.
for example the messaging app was a semi context aware, it haves 3 states.

:L If thats the case, every app that wants a lot of users should have those 3 states.
But idk, Windows 8 just bugs me in general with the forced Metro UI, oversized window titles, and the titles being centered.
