I have a phenom I x4 2.1ghz and a 9800gt and I can run everything I've tried so far really well.
I'd like to get some nice new cards for 3d work but gaming wise you really don't need state of the art unless you're using multiple screens or something. |

I get 50-60 in skyrim on high, 200-300 in tf2 on high depending on map, 60-70 in brink on high, 70 in crysis on high, and I'm about to try from dust since I hear that's great for benchmarking. |
Unless you're running at a resolution lower than 1024x768 you're a fucking liar. And even if you were running lower than that, that card would NEVER get close to pulling those numbers. Ever. There isn't a fucking overclock in the world that would get that card to pull those numbers. The 9800GT is a fucking shit card today.

I stand corrected, double checked and it's a phenom 9750 2.4ghz.
I'm not sure but I believe the gpu and cpu may have come overclocked, it was a used computer.

My 570 + i5-3550 gets 400+ fps constant on source engine games.
