So I got some useful adresses from <this game> but when I freeze/make them active they don't stay freezed, they go down anyways.

Does anyone have a nice tutorial that explains this? It's online so not singleplayer.

Buy a gun
Go to where the server is located
Aim your gun at an admin and tell them to install cheat engine on their server
If they don't do it, shoot someone showing you're serious
Then when cheat engine is installed on their server find your value and freeze it.
Perhaps do a code injection so that when the address changes it only affect your account and no one else
Then fight your way out past all the cops and snipers, go home, and play
If they undo the cheat, just do back with more guns

Perhaps take the server with you so you can play on a local network.

Hehe I understand your responses, this is only for educational purpose. I'm not going to abuse anything, I'm just interested. I know "Freezing" only helps in singleplayer games since the server checks the packets, that's why I'm asking.

Dark Byte's response is THE best response you could ask for...

It is the literal truth. CE can do NOTHING client side on a server based game... WITHOUT CE being installed on their server and you being at that CE window... considering the only way to do that is as he mentioned above... it is impossible for CE

the server does not check any package,
the package is stored in the server.
the amount of hp is not in game.exe, but in //server/game.exe and you can't open process //server/game.exe, that's why you take the gun and shoot somebody to be able to open process //server/game.exe

Yes I understand HP is not client sided. That's why I'm asking: how do people freeze the value eventhough it's serverside? With a script? Shocked

answering that is against the forums rules.
even thought i bet nobody knows how to do that.
think about it, why should anyone check and answer the forum ?
rhetorical question! To learn new things form others problems.
they say that when you teach, you learn, because you see new things.
now think about someone that already knows how to cheat online, would he or she still be browsing this forum ? or even bother answering ?

Well, you can talk about cheating in online games, but you're not allowed to give any hint on what game it is you're cheating. So mentioning the name isn't allowed, but asking how to freeze a server sided value is. (answer: you don't)

Anyhow, one thing that can work in online games that are written by first year students. Some people actually program their games so that the client determines if you got hit, and the server then tells you your health. If you remove the code that says you got hit (collision detection routines) then the client won't tell the server you got hit, making you invulnerable.

Of course, this is only on games programmed by lazy or poor people that didn't want to do the physics server sided
