I'm a novice/intermediate programmer, but I know the Java SE APIs better than any other language's APIs so lol.

Anyway, I was wondering if you guys know of a site or document that sort of has a list of things to do sorted by difficulty? Or just things to do that I could possibly do. I haven't programmed in a while and college is coming up, so for my courses I'd like to know a bit more before I walk in.

project euler. btw you're not intermediate lol. perhaps a little bit off-topic but in your case, i would not advise programming as preparation since they will teach you there and do not require/expect existing knowledge. instead, you should work on basic logic and sound reasoning which you are still lacking as evidenced by your posts in RS.

I think onlinejudge.org or programmingchallenges.com is a more programmer oriented site (versus math/programming)

So what if he gets stuck? A lot of the things I can do now I only wish I could have done when I was an active member of this forum, but a lot of the things that members said which I didn't understand I now understand.

paupav makes a legitimate point. it is clear from OP's contributions in random spam that he should be prioritising other areas of development before programming. as i said, he should learn how to think and reason in a logical way, something which is essential to programming and algorithm design. he needs to go back to basics

Yeah I might get stuck, but that's where I ask for advice, whether it's here, in real life by a professor, or just start Google'ing.

And I don't think* I'm too bad for my age and being self-taught Wink
