Well, I'm just curious on what you guys do to protect yourself from viruses.
What I do:
1. I use Malwarebytes to do a monthly scan
2. I have Microsoft Security Essentials since it's a decent free antivirus
3. I use Windows Firewall since it works (sometimes too good >.>)
4. I use Sandboxie to sandbox everything in my downloads folder, and to restrict internet access.
That way, anytime I execute a program I download, it goes through my av and sandboxie w/o internet access. Also, having common knowledge is also very helpful to not get infected.

I use a combination of Malware Bytes' and Avast! I've heard good things about MSE, but it's just not my cup of tea. Avast!'s Sandbox mode is actually really good. Gotta say it's great for a free Antivirus.
I'm interested in seeing more data from users here, though.

Avast! with MWB occasionally. If I'm really being cautious I'll start up VMWare.

I don't have an anti-virus, but I only download from trusted sources (pretty easy to tell if something is shady). If I'm unsure, I reverse engineer it.
As for exploits, I keep up to date with all latest patches and follow related news.

I don't download from sketchy places. Torrents come from private trackers with overwhelming positive reviews, etc. I think I've only got a single virus in 3 years so I have no idea how you guys get them.
I just use MSE and Windows Firewall. Used to use Kaspersky but damn paying that much for an AV when MSE is just as good (albeit the atrocious scan speed)

| Absolutely nothing, the last time I got a virus was when I was 14, and even then it was some hidden java applet bullshit that could happen to anyone.

No security software at all. I know what i am downloading and if it looks shady i'll just RE the software and see whats up.
I think thats how it is for most advanced users.
