Are we allowed to discuss cheats for games like these?
They have a single player side to them, but some of the cheats also translate into their multiplayer sections.
Seeing how multiplayer is banned, do we need to make a distinction between where they're appliable before discussing cheats?

I would assume you can talk about the single player side to them, as long as you make that distinction and you post in the appropriate section.
But, Dark Byte might say otherwise. He may allow both or neither.

Are you specifically talking about Multiplayer cheats or are you just asking about cheats in general. From what I've seen, many of these games are moddable; Torchlight included. It stands to reason that you can make your own mods to cheat with, or simply download mods that do it for you.
Edit:
This is straight from the FAQ, Darling.
Can I ask about online cheats?
Yes, but you are not allowed to mention the game's name or post specific information about the game like screenshots or more than 10 lines of continuous assembler code (In short, yes, but you will most likely not get what you want)

His question is more specific to games that have both a single player and a multiplayer mode. Since it has a multiplayer mode, I'd assume you would have to specify single player when asking about cheats for them, and this is also assuming that your single player data doesn't carry over to multiplayer like in Diablo 3.

No need to be condescending, honey.
I know you can't talk about online cheats. That's why I'm asking if I'm allowed to talk about Singleplayer cheats that COULD be used in the online version.
For example, there are several glitched mechanics in Minecraft that give you an unfair advantage. And if they're usable in SP, they're most of the time usable in SMP.
So it's quite easy to see the problem here. Would we be allowed to talk about these singleplayer cheats, which is allowed, seeing how they are also possible in online, which is not allowed?

| I wouldn't worry about it, if you're talking about offline you're talking about offline.

You can talk about single player games. If they affects multiplayer, you're just not allowed to say it does
