Absolutely useless.
It's just a kinect with a scaled down sensitivity field and adjusted algorithms for hands and whatever objects they support.
I can't think of a single thing it would be useful for, aside from novelty.
Maybe if you had rigged some 3d hands and wanted to animate them?

Saw these the other day on the PhillyD show.
Thought they were pretty cool.
Not sure that I'll dish out 70 bucks when my keyboard and mouse do me fine.

Also that clip of playing lost coast is rubbish, there's no way anyone serious about gaming would do that.

well take in consideration that they are saying that it will be way more accurate than the kinect + cheaper.

about gaming, I think 70$ for a casual gaming device is pretty reasonable also this is a step froward to a better virtual immersion.
