The Cuban Missile Crisis is one of the points in human history whereupon the future of our society could be the most heavily altered. Not only our nation, but the entire world, is currently traveling along a path potentially different in every way, shape, and form from what it would be like if the crisis had not been diverted.

You could go on to write a bunch of scifi gibberish about a dystopian society like in fallout 3.

Oh man, if I had written my 4th quarter research paper on the cuban missile crisis, I'd give it too you right now. I did it on JFK, so close.
