About a week and a half ago, the day before our 5 month anniversary and a week before prom. Breakup lasted 3 days

On the first day: She said she didn't want to break up and her parents were forcing her because they didn't approve of me. (I still loved her)

On the second day: She admitted it was partially her decision, and talked about some things and how I could fix it. (Cautiously loved her still)

On the third day: She told me the truth, she thinks I'm schizophrenic and that people at my school are afraid of me. She got this from one kid two classes below me that hates me, Also said her parents had nothing to do with it. (I wanted to kick her in the face)

It's just sad I put so much into the relationship only to have it thrown back in my face. For example, all of december she had migraines every day from her accident. I was there every day after school to help with anything. From 2:30 to 10. Also, her, her mom, and her grandma are all bipolar. Her mom and Grandma being officially diagnosed, and her having her doctor hinting at it. I can't stand hypocrites or wasted time, but that's what I got.

I'm cool now though, new date to prom who I might start a relationship with.

Here's a tip: Stop thinking about relationships. This shit will happen a lot to literally anyone no matter how cool/attractive/whatever they are. People are cunts. Be a cunt til you're older and it counts, don't try to be in relationships constantly.

She was a cunt because to her it was a little crush that lasted too long. Also bipolar.

I just like feeling closer to someone than a friend.

Yeah that's good but most people your age will get terrified at seriousness.

Different people have different concepts and interpretation of love in different situations.

I love my dog because it's fucking adorable
I love programming because it's interesting
I love a person when I think can trust them, be with them, and share anything without fear.

@Konr, yea I learned my lesson on that one. I want to have another relationship and just keep it light you know. No talking about "forever" or promise rings and all that like some people my age do. I plan on going to college, and then getting my masters after.

You misuse the word love. It's an extremely strong word.

Only to those who make it strong. A word alone is never strong, it carries no weight, it's what the word represents that gives it purpose or gravity. The word can stay the same and it's significance can change, but the importance is felt between the objects or persons who share the word.

You dont seem to understand the english language.
Theres different words to signify different strengths of a word.
And example would be big and colossal.

And I still don't see why you're arguing so much over this. I saw my girlfriend every day, for at least 3 hours, for 5 months. I was there when she almost stopped breathing, when she would collapse from her migraines, when she thought her dad would disown her, and when her mom did. I went to all her band competitions and stayed up for hours helping her with anything she needed help with. The word "love" has a different context with her than it does my dog, or the "love" between my grandparents, but I'm still within every right to use it because I know the context, you don't.

It has heavy social connotations (when used towards people you're not related to or animals) that a dictionary doesn't define.

Exactly, you don't know about how my relationship was. You made a judgment based off a time frame without any knowledge of our feelings towards each other. You just proved my entire argument with that reply. I posted the dictionary entry to show you that words have other means than what's in a dictionary after that ignorant "big and colossal" post.

Look at the definitions of the words I used. They're near identical, but when you hear them you think two entirely different things. Look up some research on the science of attraction, it'll help you understand how this stuff works.

You just keep proving my point don't you? Yea they have the same definition, but people apply different meanings to them on their own.

The "love" of my dog, and the "love" of my parents are the same word aren't they? But I'M the one who holds the meaning behind them. If you criticize my word choice in the OP based on how long we've been dating without any knowledge about the underlying meaning of the relationship, you're wrong. So now you've stepped into hypocrite territory. You're impossible to talk to and you sit agreeing with me in the past two replies while trying to go against me. Continuing this argument is a waste because I have already proven my point, and now you've proven my point too.

Separate points, I agree with some, and oppose others.
And it's very apparent you didn't look up anything about the science of attraction , or you'd know it's near impossible to genuinely love someone after 5 months without extreme circumstances.
