|
|
| I'm trying to find pointers for a MMO, though as many do it uses hackshield so I can't use a debugger... I can use CE on my 64 bit laptop and scan, but when I modify dynamic memory or try something such as debugging or speed hacking it's detected. I've followed quite a few guides on finding pointers, and they all seem to involve using a debugger to see what writes/accesses an address... Any ideas?

| The obvious answer is to bypass whatever is preventing you from using it.

to find pointers without a debugger try the pointerscanner.
Of course, that won't help you as you say that editing the dynamic memory will cause a hack detection because the value on your computer does not match with what is stored on the server (pointers do not prevent that)
What you need to do is go to where the server is located and change your values there. I recommend you take enough firepower and some people to watch your back when you infiltrate the building

I've tried the pointer scanner, though to many results appear for me to actually test them all. I've tried moving them all to my CT but it takes way to long.

Yeah, I should really change CE to blatantly refuse to show the results until you've used the rescan option at least 10 times or at least one time on a different process ID...
After the scan is done, restart the game and do a rescan
Then restart the game again (or better, reboot) and do a rescan again

Pointerscanner works... If you smart about it, you can find it in a reasonable amount of time.
Keeps the scans a bit shallow unless that fails. For example: Borderlands wouldn't let me attach a debugger, so I had to use and learn pointer scanning pretty well to find what I was looking for.
I limited it to like 4 deep to keep the scans faster. I got hits, and usable stuff that deep, without taking too long to scan/rescan.
What would be REALLY cool is if pointer scanner when you saved your results you could 'lock in' with a check box, so that it would automatically prune the list somehow. That could make the process much faster. Rather then me clicking over and over rescan, rescan, rescan.
Just say, hey for this scan session I'm looking for "X", if you don't see value X, remove it from the list... Period. Then so it would prune itself VERY rapidly. That would be awesome because some values stay X pretty consistently, then swap, then swap back, then... blah.

already in for next version (automatic rescan until stopped by the user. Just make sure the address doesn't change before you stop it)

Wow that is awesome... What about value? Or does it only work for an address?

It's an automated repeat of the rescan, and rescan allows for value rescans, so yes, that's possible.
Same thing to watch though: Don't let the value change before you stop the rescans

Yeah, I get ya.
A changing value would destroy the good result in a wink of an eye, and you would have to start over. Or at least go back to your last "save" point.
