I'm still curious, whats wrong with photoshop?

Photoshop is for shopping photos, simple as that.
Just cause it's the best image editor and it can paint doesn't mean it's the best painter.

This one came with tons of brushes made for drawing and optimization for a pen tablet. It's pretty neat.
Though I'll give sai a try if my free trial isnt expired.

Sure Adobe released a painting edition, it's terrible.
PtSai is great to start with and if you ever feel like investing in more professional software there's Corel and shit.

You don't know what you're talking about. All of the digipainters I know use Photoshop, and the "painting edition" you just bullshitted about is probably just Elements with some pre-installed brushes and shit. Get the right brushes and set your Photoshop up and you will do well. Using other softwares instead is like getting a Mac purely for convenience.

konr clearly knows what he's talking about and brings up a good point, with the right brushes, theres no reason that photoshop would be different than any other program, paint tool sai is just basically paint with preinstalled brushes, you can do a lot more with photoshop as a whole
