i don't know what the fuck package my parents have with time warner cable but we only get 1 mb/s usually but have seen up to 2 mb/s.

Comcast charges $1/month per Mb/s, starting at $16/m for 16Mb/s, and ending in $55/m for 55Mb/s.
And the speed you're paying for is for any server in the whole wide US, so globally it will be slower of course, but local servers will give you much higher speeds.
For example, when downloading steam games from a server 50 miles away I get up to 9MB/s.

Where do you live? I had comcast in memphis and it was like 60 bucks a month for speed nearly the same. This was 3 years ago though.

Here I can get 100/100 Mbps for $ 45 a month and no download/upload caps.

| It all depends on the area too. If no one asks no one gets. Its not just offered. In northern states, like new york they get 50megs for liek 50 bucks from what I am being told.
