For the past two days i have been trying to hack the devil may cry 4 exceed gauge of the character nero....i found the base pointer after three levels and the pointer is showing correctly the number of exceed bars....even after restarting the game it points and shows correctly but for some reason it refuses to work when i freeze it...it just doesnt freeze the gauge...the bar decreases when i use it!!

Hi,

Seems like you havent found the right address to begin with.

Before finding a basepointer for the address make sure it is the right address by freezing it in CE to check that it actually freezes. If it doesnt freeze, that means you have found the wrong address.

So i think you need to keep searching.
