I honestly, gave up after about 45 minutes of doing absolutely nothing, trying to figure out what to do, I saw this giant worm thing for a slight second, dug underground for 5 minutes to try and find it and i couldn't find it, so I gave up

Wasn't a boss then.
Did you not talk to the guide? Or build a house? If you felt lost then the wiki is tons of help, used it all the time.

But you shouldn't need help to have fun. So whatevs, sucks you didn't like it.
