That's the last one, still hasn't replied.
I think I have a valid argument with the functionality before extensability argument. That's not to say he DOESN'T have an equally valid point, because he doesn it just doesn't apply to me right now.
I can also tell he's falling out of the argument because he basically collapses and begins to insult me directly without knowing me.

Well I did not read the entire thing but I skimmed it. First off.. dragging in shit about your real life is simply making excuses. Nobody gives a shit about your real life so it's also irrelevant.
Let's review his main argument though : 'readability is more important than functionality'. This is only partially correct. He read it somewhere or was taught it but never really understood why. In the context he is using it in and the understanding he is demonstrating in his prose, he is simply wrong and clearly holds only a shallow understanding of it in its most pedantic rigid form which I shall elaborate more on later. Fizzix is reviewing code in a pedantic way with an asshole attitude. Your code would not be accepted in a corporate environment in the software industry, yes that's true. But wait. Let's take a step back and see where the fuck we are. Oh yes, 'hackforums.net'. If he's going to stand in there expecting code to be industrial level then he's naive beyond belief.
I'm an asshole, a huge asshole. But only where deserved ( some retard was being arrogant/passive aggressive first ) or where I am willing to use others for my entertainment ( super bored and devoid of morals ). I don't know what Fizzix is doing because he's not doing either of the above. I can only conclude it's 'showing off' or being the 'big fish in a small pond consisting of mostly retarded fish fry' but he clearly does not understand the context of the situation. That is, he's in a forum inundated by teenagers to people in their early 20s learning to 'program'. Let's use that term very loosely because remember we're on fucking hackforums.net here. Uhh we all went through that stage. Apparently he recognises this since his username is 'Scala noob'. So what the fuck is he trying to prove ? It's far too late now to call this a 'troll' and entertainment because his posts demonstrate he was serious ( if not mad ) so I can only assume an unawareness of the context.
Your code sucks shit. I've told you this before and offered to code review for you which I believe demonstrates my sincerity and actual intention to help you. This is constructive. Although he claims to have the same intention, he's shown a lack of ability as well as having the wrong mindset. He is naive to be on hackforums and to act like that in a serious way. Hell, you're both retarded to be on hackforums in the first place.
Oh and something even more important than readability and functionality in the software industry ? Not being an asshole. Why ? However good you are you're not going to be working by yourself in the future. Nobody wants to work with an asshole. I'm an asshole on the forums for entertainment purposes or to 'teach someone a lesson'. He is doing neither considering the blatant amount of time he has invested in his answers.
Fizzix strikes me as mediocre programmer at best who lacks industrial experience. It sounds like he's taken his high school teacher's programming advice, not really understood it and regurgitated it back out to look smart. Perhaps you think I'm making assumptions. I think not. If he had real world experience in programming he'd realise 'readability > functionality' is simply not true. Readable code does make maintainable code which is required for the long term health of your software but 100% of employers will rather hire a programmer who can produce working code today ( which is of a decent level ) than a programmer who can produce perfect code tomorrow. Readability is important, it is key. Extrapolating that to say it's always more important than functionality itself demonstrates a lack of understanding for the industry: where the money comes from. Clients aren't paying for readable code but for working software.
The beauty of this whole thing is how he signs off in one of his posts:
| Quote: | | I deal with your ignorance and stupidity by letting you know, in terms you can understand, just how ignorant and stupid you are. |
I don't have time to further elaborate on my response right now but I may do so later.

Pretty much all my thoughts exactly. You can be harsh, but it's all constructive and I can learn from you, you never come off as arrogant. This guy is just a bitch. The only personal stuff was in each of our last posts. When he started running out of steam he resorted to calling me a retard which is the only thing I can't take.
As far as being on hackforums, I figured It would be best to go release my program over there, I feel whoever played with it would probably be around my level which is why I don't go release it on an actual programming site, I figure they'd pick me clean.
UPDATE:
His entire argument is crumbling, and he's desperately reaching to make it look like what he says matters.

Idk, bout to just leave the place. I only went for one thing and you see how that turned out. I've still got this place where people will actually play with it it and give me a bit of feedback here and there, and I know most of you guys too.
In other news. Will be releasing 1.6 soon and have started working on fractalMuse again to allow for Key and scale changes on the fly as well as chord support.

| Lol this guy's nothing special. Think of it like this. A kid who just finished primary school goes to high school. Instead of progressing further he goes back to primary school to shit on the little kids. He's a noob. Tell him to register on these forums and talk to me if he thinks otherwise

Nah, pretty much done with the guy and the forum. I've cut off everything except him accepting that my argument is partially right, which he won't do. He'll just prance around the issue.
I'll just do release updates here. I would release them on an actual programming forum, but for all I'd know, they'd do the same thing.

that's for C, C++, and C#. I haven't done C++ in forever, and haven't even had a class in it before.
I'll just stick with java for a bit.

I'll just stick with java for a bit. | Hence the "c programming site". There is a programming section on powerbot but I don't know how active it is.

my bad didn't see that. | its all good. powerbot's programming section isn't that active, its about a post every few days. that forum in a whole is extremely active, getting 600 unique page requests a minute or something like that

| Think I remember a site called Dream in code or something. I'll look it up later, not a huge priority at the moment.
