suggestion: dig down next to your base and go into cave systems you find then return back to your shaft. once its complete put water on the bottom so you can drop and not get hurt. also a fast way to return to your spawn is to save&exit the game and go back in

You know there's an item that returns you to the spawn...
Also if you really need to get back, just suicide. Moneyz aren't all that useful anyways.

why waste an inventory space or money when you can just save and exit then go back in. money isnt that important but its nice to have.
