| Personally I think you lack a qss and IE. But that's just my opinion, you should talk to Akaecius about it.

A lot off cc to think about though. BC if you're feeling lucky, but they aren't durable throughout the lifespan.

good point but i prefer BV over QSS due to the fact that it lets u take one hit and prevents that flash malz/annie/brand instangib.

And the i7 isn't overkill. Most modern games require at least 4 cores for maximum settings and new ones coming out such as Metro 2033 are starting to push everything to the limit. It's an investment, $250 for a cpu that'll be good for 6 years is cheap.

320gb is not big at all, that's just for my OS and programs, large files will be stored on my 2tb.
850w will be enough to add on a sound card, two gpu's, and four ram sticks which I plan on doing in the future.
And I don't know what you think is wrong with a sandy bridge.

I am GPU-bound when I run Metro 2033, and I am running an i5. So, pretty much overkill.
It's all about more cores these days. Not all applications support multi-threading, and some who do, fail miserably at it, requiring it to stay in focus or making the computer clog the shit up.
Reminds me of this dev having a speech about them making use of the triple-core of the Xbox 360. He did the <something (according to memory, just gameplay)> on the first core, <let's just say physics or something. Something that actually does something.> on the second, and audio on the third. Perfect balance of course, all three would be done at almost exactly the same time. Heh.
