It's also a file associated with Autodesk Combustion, which is a video software. I hope this gets you closer to your goal. I'm wondering if the flash player is doing some conversion on the file in order to play it. |
Earlier post stated you are looking for a CWS file, as that video is not in FLV format.

Alright, emptied my cache, reloaded the page and searched through my whole cache only to find exactly 5 files that start with "CWS". None of the files have an extension and none of the files can be played in Windows Media Player.
What should I do now?
EDIT:
I also tried changing the extension in CWS and then playing it, but that also didn't work (As expected)

Ugh, finally found an old torrent of Appleworks (It's discontinued), took me an hour to download it because there was only 1 seed and now it tells me it can't open the files ... :/
I even tried changing their extensions again.
What should I do now?
EDIT:
CWS isn't even a video-file, it's some sort of template file from what I have read.

Yeah, it's a template file similar to .pps, in a sense it could be a video file. The other option if Appleworks doesn't open it is to go with it being an Autodesk Combustion video file.
Ok some more poking. This is not going to be as simple as a file grab. Turns out the media is streamed through your flash player. I was able to grab an address from Firefox using Live Headers.
I've gotten what Charlie has which is just the URL that you can't pinch.
This will still not let you download the media. When I get home I can run it through WPE Pro and see where this stream is coming from. I haven't been able to grab it here at work.
If you would like I can post the headers I have capped from the site.
Here is where the media is coming from. rtmp://brightcove.fcod.llnwd.net/a500/d13/&mp4:media/70943112001/70943112001_737878706001_Dutch1188.mp4&1304020800000&0db6ec86689059d2142fbb38066d91f6
You will need something to allow you to download rtmp streams.

I managed to install Combustion (There was a hassle with the serial/activation key) but I couldn't open the files. When I changed the extension to .cws it -COULD- open them but nothing was in them. Well, they were 1 second long and there was no video footage so I think that's a dead lead.
Also, I played around a little with the link you posted and I managed to download a 0kb .mp4 (Remove the "RTMP" and everything after ".MP4")
Progress? I think so.

Damn, I came across this url too, I just, I guess I over looked it.
I used flash inspector add-on for firefox. It is very useful for many general flash AS3 uses, whether it is error finding, or url getting, or debugging. |
Check back on page 1, it is your URL
