well I wanted to save up for the 3DS and that only. and I'm 16 so I get money from relatives etc.

It can. It has a slot for it. It just won't be in 3d, obviously.

Already have it, it's pretty awesome. Street Fighter rocks. Cryoma, it can play the regular DS games. Unfortunately it lost support for GBA games though.
