see stray cat scampering over to take cover under some bushes. right before it disappears from my sight i see the cat shake the water off its fur. probably feeling really cold right now. wanted to take my towel and dry it off. =(

If they're stray/feral then they most likely will not want to be touched.

forgot to mention i'm on college campus and they hang out here often. they're used to human contact. people give them food and water often.

Cat's are used to it. If they want a hiding spot they can easily find it. I leave my cat outside, it tends to huddle in a window sill or stray to the house next door.

My cat goes and hunts for animals when it's raining. He doesn't afraid of rain.
