Because Polymearase Chain Reaction can amplify DNA from the bone, even if the specimen is as old as this one. The DNA can then be used to clone specimen of the DNA, but this isn't exactly possible without a surrogate parent. That's why dinosaurs can't be resurrected. There's no parent to hold the child basically.
Time machine, no. Even if we were to be zapped back in time, electricity would have to break us down into an indefinite number of particles, which would kill us.

It's like you didn't read the article at all. They aren't using bones, they're using tissue.

| Of course I didn't. There's no point if I already know what it's about. The sequence of our DNA repeats throughout our entire body, so the location of the DNA sampling wouldn't matter.
