Went with Caviar Green instead of Black because it's £50 cheaper for a small difference. Opinions?

Afaik the most expensive intel processor there is is better than the most expensive amd processor. But you're buying neither of those so I don't see the point.

oya the most expensive amd processor on the site you used for your processor is better than your intel one - and cheaper.

CPU is something you can really go cheap on without losing major performance. Focus on gfx, ram & HDD (yes, a good hdd is important).

a 6850 would have been the best way to go but im glad he got the twin frozr. Best stock fan ever.

I ordered it already. Also, I began the process of making YouTube videos, I intend to do a ton of rendering, hence my choice. As for nVidia vs ATI, the card I got was actually cheaper than the equivalent ATI counterpart.

Yea right. Cal got BC2 which is uber cpu intensive. We will own like a boss when he builds his new pc.
