|
|
Pics attached of what I have right now, I bought it prebuilt.
It's decent, but I can't run games in 1080p without dropping the fps to like 1 or 2.
Basically I want to run some games nicely in 1080p or a bit lower if it's a demanding game, but it'd be nice to run source games in 1080p.
Long story short I want to trick out my build.
I'm wondering if installing a graphics card will do this (currently integrated).

If need be, new processor?

Anything else? |

that voltage has to be a misreading, it would be long dead.
i'd drop in a gtx 460 1gb, you can probably find one floating around for 150 with rebate. |

| If all you want is those couple frames back, a 5670 would be a good choice. If you want an awesome gaming machine, 460 definitely. |

Get the 1GB version, not the 768MB version.
Unless you're really strapped for cash. |

6850s are just as expensive as 460s. What exactly is your budget? |

Under $200, which means I get either a gpu or cpu, and I have a decent cpu so I want to spend less than 200 on a gpu.
A 6 series is a bit cheaper so I guess I need to know which is better:
physx or DX11 with eyefinity? |

The GTX 460 is DX 11 as well. | 6850 is dx11 and supports 3D shit. Like movies and such but i think the monitor must also be 3d applicant. |

Haven't heard about ATi supporting 3D. It's mostly Nvidia right now with their 3D vision.
As for PhysX vs Eyefinity. It's all up to you to decide what you want.
For PhysX you will need a Nvidia card and to some users they will buy 2nd Nvidia card just to handle PhysX.
For Eyefinity, you will need a at least one monitor with Display Port.
If you dont' have it, you will need a Active Display Port adapter and those cost like $100 _________________
