Austin Powers

Recently I bought a desktop computer from acer and the model is M3910.
Graphic card used was ATI Radeon HD 5570.
After I downloaded this and save them in my external hard disk, then i reformat my computer and switched back to windows xp due to some disconnection problems when I play certain MMORPG games.
After that, I've tried installing the driver. But after it is installed i checked it is ATI Radeon HD 5500.

Is this because the website upload the wrong model to the site?

Any help will be appreciated Sad

Oh ya, acer driver disc doesn't support Windows XP so I need to download the driver from the website

The driver itself are universal, what that means is if you pick the HD5570, HD5870, HD5450 etc. It all brings you to the same driver.
The difference could be in the driver detection of the OS, so for that you need to specify.

Download the drivers again, this time for Windows XP.

Click on downloads, then click on the OS, download driver.

As for your "5500", it's a series as HD5550 or HD5570
Use GPU-Z to see the exact model.

Its supposed to say that. I have a 4850 and everything shows 4800. It goes by the series number.
