I agree with avoiding eBay, since its buyer to buyer there is little to go on that what you are buying is even what you will get.

Newegg is my preferred choice. Great prices, new parts, fast shipping. A lot of the time most of the items have free shipping as well.

Pricewatch, Tigerdirect, CompUSA (if any exist near you still) are some other choices I look at when comparing stuff though.

ebay is alright, but i would prefer dealing with someone on a for sale section of a major forum like hardocp / techpowerup.

i've bought used parts before with no issue. just use your head, don't be dumb and paypal send money as a gift to avoid the tiny fee involved. it likely only adds a few dollars so just pay it and don't void your coverage because you signed away your payment as a gift and not an actual purchase.

Newegg is also really good.

I've had such terrible experiences with TigerDirect that I'm not willing to do business with them anymore.
