Kane likes to ruin fun and, instead of using actual minecart boosters, he installed a mod that moves a cart along a track automatically that requires no brain power or effort or even focused thought to create. Basically, he thinks it's cooler to have a server mod do everything for you than actually having to design something complex.

Because he's an idiot. I logged onto vent and the first thing he said was that they weren't going to use my system anymore because they found a mod that does it all automatically.

The system I've literally spent countless hours at this point looking up things, testing things, drawing out diagrams, writing things, explaining things, losing god damn sleep over things trying to perfect so that it will work properly in an SMP server with multiple people using it at the same time in an efficient, automated, and complex way which has not been fully achieved by ANYONE at this point, and as of yesterday had put a FULLY WORKING TEST VERSION TOGETHER AND SHOWED IT TO HIM, and he basically just said fuck all your effort I found a mod that requires none.

Honestly, ours would have been the first actually working legit system. It's not impressive to install a mod that does it for you. It's not an accomplishment to install a mod on your server to convenience lazy people. It's fucking stupid and ruins the fun in everything. What's the point of doing something that fucking anybody can figure out how to do in five seconds? I tried to explain to him that using a mod that does minecarts for you automatically is no different than installing a mod that does redstone for you automatically. To this his response was "I'm not talking about redstone you aren't making any sense. When did I say anything about redstone?" which led me to the conclusion that he doesn't understand comparisons or analogies at all.

Honestly, I'm fucking pissed. I do all this work, get all this shit from people before I'm finished, then when I DO finish and FINALLY start to get recognition, I find out that it was for absolutely nothing.

I'm not quitting the server or anything, but I refuse to make a system based on something that any idiot could figure out. I stepped down and they can make whatever ridiculous subway system they want, I'm just not going to have any part in it.

The funny thing is, is that there's a REALLY big thing that left out in all my explanations that any subway system, it doesn't matter how simple it is, won't function without. When they hit that problem (which will not take very long at all), the system is probably going to collapse and I'm not going to help them make it work. I'd be extremely impressed if they actually figure it out on their own. And, at this point, even if they do decide at some point not to use this mod (which is extremely unlikely as Kane is definitely not going to change his mind), I'm not going to build it.
