don't use dev-cpp, it's horribly out of date. visual studio has a free version and is pretty much the pinnacle, so...
also you can crash your app by dividing by zero, and effectively send it into an infinite loop by entering garbage for you choice.

I use Dev-Cpp because i am not very familiar with .Net Stuff. It is easier for me to use the original C++ than .net. I can run VC++.net but it's just plane slow. If you can suggest any other compilers , feel free to post.

visual studio is not just .net. I never once used c++.net but i used the IDE for awhile.
I also like eclipse and think that it's a great free ide. Plus it can do just about any language with plugins (python, perl, java of course, C/C++, etc). Oh yea, the plugins are nice.

even though they have a c++ build env already, I would download classic then use the yoxos marketplace to get the c/c++ environment

As said, Visual Studio does not require you to use .NET at all, you have to specifically select that type of project to use it.
If you do plan to use C++/CLI though, go with VS2008, while 2010 might offer new features, VS2010 does not support C++/CLI with Intellisense at all. It is fully gone. (Or if you want an alternative intellisense, you can check out VisualAssist.)
