Just signed up today and this is my 2nd post, so HI Smile

Noticed there was an art section so thought I'd upload a couple of my drawings and see what you think, so far only friends seen my drawing. Taken on my mobile so not the best quality pictures

Wow, these are pretty damn good. Looks like Up2 has some competition.

(Not that these aren't good, but) Up2 is much better, these are good though. The orc looks really good but Lara's nose seems a bit off.

I would notice that orc anywhere. It's right on the front cover of my Wc3.

Hi all thanks for you comments.

Those arnt original of course but I picked them to draw because I liked the characters and for practice, the orc was pretty hard to do, and there are a few corrections I'd liked to do, like the chain near the armour on the left and to get a bit of depth into the eyes.

However I only started drawing 1 year ago, I'm 30 now (31 monday), and didn't do any sort of art at school, I always wanted to learn. So I started doing pencil portraits of family members. Starting to expand into other things now once I got the bug, at the moment I'm enjoying doing charcoal nudes.

"It's not even drawing"

While they are copies of pictures I dont' see how it isn't drawing? I started with blank white paper took a pencil and drew the outline and did the shading?

I'd love to be able to do what UP2 does and create from his imagination but I think that will come with time and practice.

I've included a couple of drawings I did for people. The father inlaw is the 2nd pencil portrait I ever did as he died from cancer and was a present for my mother inlaw, the other is my brother who passed away last year and I drew him for my parents.

Any way I hope that explains where I'm coming from and why these aren't "original" peices of art.

Awesome, you might want to add dates on your drawings so you can see your own progress in the future.

Going to art school doesn't mean you'll learn to draw like a pro (you learn the basics), some go to art school and their drawing still sucks. Drawing comes from within and it's up oneself to discover their abilities.

Congrats on discovering your ability as they look amazing, hope their is more to come. Smile
