Not really... I've got a flat screen monitor and a desktop, I'm able to unhook things within 2 minutes and take them wherever I need. Then I've got my netbook for browsing the web when I don't have access to a power outlet. Laptops are more expensive, less reliable, harder to repair/upgrade, etc... the only thing positive about it is that it's small. If you like playing games, I really don't suggest a laptop unless you expect to spend a lot of time away from home. PC is also funner (for some unexplainable reason), I take mine to my friend's house all the time.
