3D Programs: Cinema 4D, Autodesk Maya or Autodesk 3DSMax, or if you want something free, Blender.

For your intro, you can composite a 3d animation from any of those programs into Adobe Aftereffects.

Fuck. Cinema 4D = Long ass download. Sad

EDIT: Is Adobe After Effects better than Sony Vegas 9 Pro? Imo, sony vegas has no cool FX.

You can't really compare those 2.
You should compare sony vegas with premiere pro, and I prefer sony vegas.
