there is a free mmo rpg maker i found...its really awesome but so sensitive...1 mistake could cause runtime errors...but it is so awesome,you can host your server automatically in just one click.sometimes its hard finding the solution to runtime errors but it is recommended to guys who wants a glimpse of how to make an MMORPG...just goto

Eclipse is a great mmorpg engine, and i've worked with it for quite a while. Another great 2d mmorpg enigne would be xtremeworlds.

I think eclipses best feature though, would be it's lighting capabilities and character creation.

I've used this before to make a CEF MMO. Obviously nothing serious, but it did remind me of RPG Maker in the simple sprite-based way of doing things. Easy to use and pretty fun to make maps and stuff, for a while, starts to lose appeal after a while though.

VB6 ain't exactly the most advanced thing to write an online game in. At least they offer the source code.
But damn, I'd hate to see the source.

Is this a true "massively" multiplayer online rpg?
