Please don't call them apps, call them applications or programs. Apps are a filetype used by Apple for OSX and iPods.
Also, you shouldn't be asking other people what you should use, you should know what you want on your computer.

Why daemon tools? I've goon over 3 years now without having to mount any isos etc. Plus I prefer magiciso anyway.
@SWAT: Pretty much that along with 7-zip.
