When I open it up, it just stops working and I can't click on anything. Like it freezes. How can I fix this?

have you tried clicking on that button with the glowing border and that computer icon it it ?

and what os do you use and are you running as admin ?

Yeh but it still freezes, or sometimes i cant click on it at all because it freezes before i can.

make sure you don't have any online games running at the same time as ce. That can also cause ce to crash

It crashes even without any games running. And I use vista and I am admin too.

is the folder ce is installed in writable for ce ?

Try installing it to c:\bla\ for example and try from there

oh yes, I am assuming you're talking about ce 5.6.* and not 5.5 and earlier e.g enabling stealth has this effect on old ce versions which is also why it was removed
Run the ceregreset program in the ce folder if that is the case

try disabling your anti virus or internet security if you have one (might require a reboot after disabling it since some don't even stop after that)

Try running ce in compatibility mode with themes disabled
